Hi, I’m Jason. Like many photographers, I started astrophotography feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by the technical side of shooting at night.

After 27 years in the US Marine Corps, I found something unexpected under Australia’s dark skies, a sense of creativity, calm, and purpose.

What began as a personal escape became a passion that led to winning the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year (Astrophotography Category) in 2022 and 2023.

Today I help photographers skip years of trial and error.

Through hands-on astrophotography workshops and one-on-one mentoring, I guide you step-by-step so you can confidently photograph the stars and create images you once thought were impossible.
